Lac d'Arjuzanx is a sprawling 161-hectare reservoir in the Landes offering excellent mixed fishing for carp, catfish, pike and tench across varied depths and structure—ideal if you want species diversity alongside serious carp prospects. Night fishing isn't permitted here, so it's a day-only venue, but electric-motor boats are allowed, giving you flexibility to explore the extensive water. You'll need an AAPPMA day ticket (available locally) and must fish within daylight hours; the 495-mile distance from Calais makes it a worthwhile detour for a dedicated multi-day trip.
