Lac de Galiera is a pristine high-altitude trout lake nestled in the alpine terrain of Haute-Corse, offering challenging fishing in a remote mountain setting with stunning Mediterranean island scenery. This cold-water environment delivers excellent opportunities for fly fishing and spin casting for wild trout in one of Corsica's most isolated and unspoiled waters.
Night fishing at Lac de Galiera is not permitted. Night fishing prohibited. Mountain/Category 1 trout water — French law prohibits night fishing between 30 min after sunset and 30 min before sunrise. Anglers must leave the bank before dark.

Bivouac & overnight camping is permitted at Lac de Galiera under standard French fishing law — one rod, within 10m of the water, no open fires. French Cat2 public water default — bivouac permitted. Verify local rules before overnight stay.
