Lac de Geignes is a compact 17-hectare reservoir in the Tarn offering solid carp, tench and bream fishing from the bank with an intimate, peaceful atmosphere ideal for a focused trip away from busier venues. Day fishing only means you'll need to plan tight sessions, but the mixed species potential and scenic Occitanie setting make this worth considering as a supporting water during a broader French tour. You'll need a Tarn AAPPMA permit (contact FDAAPPMA 81) and should note it's around 500 miles from Calais, so best combined with other regional venues.
