Formed by damming a river valley in Doubs, Lac de Moron is a medium-sized public reservoir covering 63 hectares and one of the more significant fisheries in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Species include Carp, Catfish, Pike, Perch, Zander, Tench and Bream — with carp fishing the primary attraction for travelling anglers.
Night fishing is not permitted at Lac de Moron, so plan accordingly. Regarding boats: No motors. Oars only. Overnight bivouac camping is authorised, ideal for multi-day carp sessions.
