This intimate high-altitude lake near the Swiss border is a pristine mountain venue for trout and pike, rather than carp, so better suited to UK anglers diversifying beyond their usual target species. Bank fishing only on a compact 2.9-hectare water with no night fishing allowed, making it ideal for daytime sessions in stunning Alpine scenery—roughly 404 miles from Calais. You'll need a valid French fishing licence and must purchase a day ticket from the local AAPPMA du Chablais-Genevois.
