Lac des Culées is a pristine high-altitude alpine lake in the Savoie department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, offering classic mountain trout fishing in a stunning glacial setting. This remote and challenging water rewards anglers with excellent opportunities for wild brown trout and Arctic char in a demanding but rewarding environment.
Night fishing at Lac des Culées is not permitted. Night fishing prohibited. Mountain/Category 1 trout water — French law prohibits night fishing between 30 min after sunset and 30 min before sunrise. Anglers must leave the bank before dark.

Bivouac & overnight camping is permitted at Lac des Culées under standard French fishing law — one rod, within 10m of the water, no open fires. French Cat2 public water default — bivouac permitted. Verify local rules before overnight stay.
