Lac du Brévent, Haute-Savoie
This intimate high-altitude mountain lake (2.5 hectares) is a scenic spot for trout and pike enthusiasts rather than a carp destination, offering pristine bank fishing in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Night fishing is not permitted due to its protected reserve status, and boats are banned, so expect a peaceful, foot-access-only experience. Located 415 miles from Calais, it's best suited as a secondary venue during an Alpine trip rather than a main carp-fishing target — contact the local AAPPMA du Faucigny for current regulations and access details.
