Limpedea is a river in Bacău county, Moldavia. It is administered by AJVPS Bacău; you need the free ANPA recreational permit plus that association’s permit (day or annual). Confirm night-fishing, boat and camping rules with the association before you travel.
Limpedea holds trout, grayling, chub. Species information for Romanian public waters comes from OSM and local sources and can vary season to season — check the individual venue and local reports before targeting a species. On salmonid (mountain) water, huchen and grayling must be released year‑round.
Night fishing: Night fishing is not addressed in the AJVPS Bacău regulament — confirm with the association. On mountain (salmonid) water fishing is daylight only.
Boats: Non-motorised pleasure boats may be used freely on rivers and natural lakes in the AJVPS Bacău area (regulament Art. 4d).

There is no ferry to Romania. Most UK anglers fly to Bucharest (Otopeni), Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara or Iași and hire a car, or drive across Europe — roughly 1,888 miles from Calais (26–32 hours) via Belgium, Germany, Austria and Hungary.
Every angler needs the free ANPA recreational permit before fishing in Romania. Contracted inland waters also need the local county association (AJVPS) permit; the Danube Delta needs the ARBDD permits.
Romania has a strongly continental climate, so the season matters. Spring (April–June) is prime for carp, bream and pike-perch on the lowland reservoirs and Danube arms once the water warms, though the annual close season — roughly 9 April to 7 June on inland waters, 24 April to 7 June on the Danube and border rivers — takes a large bite out of it, so check the current ANPA order before you travel. Autumn (September–October) is the other peak, with cooling water and hard-feeding fish, and it is the best window for a big wels catfish from the Danube or the Iron Gates.
Mountain trout and grayling fishing runs from 1 May to 14 September on RNP‑Romsilva water. Summer can be hard on the exposed plain reservoirs in the heat, which pushes carp anglers onto night sessions where the local association allows them. Winter fishing continues on the deeper canals and the Danube for pike-perch and bream. The Danube Delta is best from late spring through autumn, avoiding the close season.
