The Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation is a restored urban canal offering excellent coarse fishing opportunities within easy reach of Sheffield city centre. The waterway holds healthy populations of barbel, chub and roach, with pike and perch providing sport throughout the year. Access is generally good with towpath fishing available along much of the route, though Environment Agency rod licenses and local canal permits are required.
