About Jed Water

The Jed Water is a tributary of the Teviot in the Scottish Borders, flowing through moorland and pastoral countryside with a mix of fast streams and slower pools. The river offers good opportunities for trout and salmon fishing, particularly in its middle and lower reaches where the water slows and deepens. Access is generally available through permits from local fishing associations and riparian landowners, with the river best fished during spring and autumn when water levels are suitable.

Anglers should note the close season on Jed Water: 15 March – 15 June (rivers, England & Wales). Club membership or day ticket access is required in addition to your EA rod licence on most stretches.
