Night fishing: No Alberta-specific night-fishing rule was confirmed in research -- this is not the same as a confirmed absence of a ban (as established for Ontario/Quebec/BC). Check My Wild Alberta's current advisories and corrections for this water before fishing after dark.
Boats: Permitted — check specific launch restrictions locally.
Camping: Alberta's Crown land camping rules are geographically specific, not uniform. A paid Public Lands Camping Pass (C$20/3-day or C$30/annual, plus fees, requires an C$8 Wildlife Identification Number) is required for random/dispersed camping along the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains -- roughly Grande Prairie south to Waterton Lakes National Park, west of Highway 43/22 -- plus the Porcupine Hills Public Land Use Zone. First Nations members and authorized work/volunteer parties are exempt. Outside this specific pass area, Crown land camping follows the general free/unreserved Canada-wide pattern, but Alberta's own day-limit was not independently confirmed -- check current Alberta Environment and Protected Areas guidance before relying on a specific figure.
Rules reflect provincial defaults as of this page's last update. Alberta regulations are amended in-season — always confirm current advisories and corrections at My Wild Alberta before you fish.
Sportfishing Licence: C$30/yr resident / C$62/yr non-resident Canadian / C$87/yr non-resident alien. Walleye Harvest Licence (required to keep walleye): C$12/yr resident. A Sportfishing Licence is required for all anglers 16+ (free for Alberta residents under 16, residents 65+, and resident Canadian Armed Forces Veterans). Residents have no short-term option, only the C$30 annual; non-residents can buy 1-day (C$27 Canadian / C$29 alien) or 7-day (C$43 / C$57) licences instead of the annual. A separate Special Walleye Harvest Licence (C$12, Alberta residents only) is required on top to keep walleye on waters where it applies.
