Formed by damming a river valley in Var, Étangs de Villepey is a medium-sized public reservoir covering 69 hectares and one of the more significant fisheries in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Species include Carp, Pike, Perch, Zander, Tench, Bream and Black Bass — with carp fishing the primary attraction for travelling anglers.
Night fishing is not permitted at Étangs de Villepey, so plan accordingly. Regarding boats: Bank fishing only. Overnight bivouac camping is authorised, ideal for multi-day carp sessions.
