Lac de Longemer is a substantial 74-hectare natural lake in the Vosges region offering excellent mixed fishing for carp, catfish, pike and tench in a scenic mountain setting—around 303 miles from Calais. Day fishing only, with electric and rowing boats available to access deeper marks. You'll need to purchase a local AAPPMA licence and respect the May 1st predator season opener for pike and zander.
Night fishing at Lac de Longemer is not permitted. Lac de Longemer (74ha, 660m altitude, Vosges) is classified 1st category piscicole — same AAPPMA as Gérardmer (Vallée des Lacs). Night carp NOT authorised (1st category). Trolling from boat permitted (no thermal motors, same rule as Gérardmer). The Fédération des Vosges confirms: "Lacs de GERARDMER ET LONGEMER: la pêche à la traîne à partir d'une embarcation est autorisée à l'exclusion des embarcations propulsées avec un moteur thermique." Non-reciprocal — Gérardmer/Vallée des Lacs local card only. Anglers must leave the bank before dark.
Boat fishing: Only electric motors are permitted — thermal engines are forbidden. Trolling from non-thermal boats permitted (3 lines max). Thermal motors strictly forbidden.
Bivouac & overnight camping is not permitted at Lac de Longemer. Night fishing not authorised.
