About Fishing at Lac de Naussac

Lac de Naussac is a sprawling 1060-hectare reservoir in Lozère offering excellent opportunity for carp alongside pike, zander and bream across deep, varied habitat—ideal for exploratory UK anglers seeking a less crowded alternative to northern French waters. Night fishing is permitted for carp anglers (confirm current rules with AAPPMA de la Lozère), and boats are allowed, giving you flexibility to cover this vast venue effectively. Located 439 miles south of Calais, it's a road trip worth planning ahead for; you'll need a French fishing licence and must register with the local AAPPMA before fishing.

Lac de Naussac is 439 miles from Calais. For UK anglers willing to make the drive into Occitanie — a region of warm summers and excellent coarse fishing, particularly for carp and catfish — the fishing is well worth it.
