Lac du Mail is an intimate 5.5-hectare mountain lake in the Hautes-Pyrénées (566 miles from Calais) offering a refreshing change of pace with pike, perch, and trout in stunning high-altitude scenery—though note this is a specialist venue for pike and predator fishing rather than carp. Bank fishing only, no night sessions due to the elevation, making it ideal for daytime exploration between larger lowland carp destinations.
