About Fishing at Lac du Chammet

Lac du Chammet is a substantial 91-hectare reservoir in Creuse offering reliable carp fishing alongside catfish and pike, making it a versatile choice for visiting UK anglers seeking something beyond typical French commercials. Bank fishing only and day-only access suit anglers preferring structured sessions, though the distance from Calais (361 miles) means this works better as part of a broader Nouvelle-Aquitaine trip. You'll need to join the local AAPPMA and obtain a fishing licence before visiting.
