Lac Nère is an intimate high-altitude mountain lake in the Hautes-Pyrénées offering bank fishing only for trout, pike and perch in a stunning Pyrenean setting—a scenic change of pace from lowland French carp water. At just 1.8 hectares, this is specialist trout and pike territory rather than carp, making it best suited to visiting UK anglers with mixed coarse interests. Night fishing isn't permitted due to the remote mountain location. You'll need a French fishing licence and AAPPMA membership (contact FDAAPPMA 65) to fish here.
