Lacs de Frémamorte is a tiny, intimate mountain lake in the Mercantour high alps offering a complete change of pace from lowland French carping — pike and perch rather than carp, and exclusively bank fishing on just over a hectare of pristine water. The remote Alpine setting (533 miles from Calais) makes this a specialist's destination, best suited to pike enthusiasts rather than dedicated carp anglers. Note: night fishing is not permitted; you'll need a permit from FDAAPPMA 06 (Alpes-Maritimes).
