About Fishing at Étang de Réglisse

Étang de Réglisse is an intimate 3.6-hectare mountain lake in Ariège offering bank fishing only for trout, pike and perch in a pristine high-altitude setting—a refreshing change of pace from lowland French carp waters, though UK anglers should note this is primarily a trout venue rather than a carp destination. Located 569 miles south of Calais in Occitanie, night fishing is not permitted due to its elevation and conservation status. You'll need to purchase a day ticket from FDAAPPMA 09 or Fédération Ariège Pêche before fishing.

At 569 miles from Calais, Étang de Réglisse requires a longer journey from the UK, but Occitanie — a region of warm summers and excellent coarse fishing, particularly for carp and catfish — rewards the trip.
