Formed by damming a river valley in Ariège, Étang du Garbet is a small public reservoir covering 15 hectares and one of the more significant fisheries in Occitanie. Species present include Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Perch, Pike and Black Bass.
Night fishing is not permitted at Étang du Garbet, so plan accordingly. Regarding boats: Bank fishing only. Overnight bivouac camping is authorised, ideal for multi-day carp sessions.
