Étang de Soulcem is a pristine 86-hectare reservoir in the Pyrenees foothills, primarily managed for trout and pike rather than carp—making it a specialist venue if you're targeting pike or fancy a change of pace from French carp waters. Float-tubes are tolerated but night fishing is strictly forbidden (1st Category water), so expect daytime-only fishing in a scenic mountain setting. You'll need a valid French fishing licence and AAPPMA stamp from Fédération Ariège Pêche; confirm pike and bass seasons locally before travelling the 573 miles south from Calais.
Night fishing at Étang de Soulcem is not permitted. Night carp not authorised on this lake.
