Étangs de Petsiguer is a remote, intimate mountain lake in Ariège's high altitude terrain, offering pristine bank fishing for trout, pike and perch across just 1.82 hectares—perfect for anglers seeking a peaceful, unspoiled Pyrenean escape. Night fishing is not permitted due to its elevation, and boats are banned, so you'll be working the margins and shallows on foot. A long haul from Calais (572 miles), this is best combined with other Ariège venues; you'll need an AAPPMA permit from Fédération Ariège Pêche and should contact them in advance to confirm seasonal access, as mountain lakes can close early in the season.
Night fishing at Étangs de Petsiguer is not permitted. Night carp not authorised on this lake.
