Ariège, Occitanie 59 acres (24 ha) Lake No night fishing 573mi from Calais

About Fishing at Étang Fourcat

Étang Fourcat is a high-altitude natural lake in the Pyrenees offering mixed freshwater species including pike and perch alongside trout — a refreshing change of scenery for UK anglers exploring beyond traditional carp venues. At 23.8 hectares, it's intimate bank fishing only with no night sessions allowed, making it ideal for daytime exploration in one of France's most dramatic landscapes. You'll need a valid French fishing licence and AAPPMA card from Fédération Ariège Pêche; the 573-mile distance from Calais makes this a dedicated trip rather than a quick getaway.
